Our Future
Nearly forty years ago, on 29th July 1984, a small community with a bold, faith-filled vision stepped out of its comfort-zone, did the impossible, and blessed the lives of many thousands of people over the decades.
They built a church – literally! – and set about serving the community of Plenty and beyond. As we reflect on this extraordinary past, we keep our eyes turned towards our future.
What will be the next bold leap of faith our community takes?
How will we step out of our comfort-zone to reach out to the post Christendom generation?
Where is God leading us?

How Can I Contribute?
Prayer
Ensure you have a copy of the latest Valley Vision (CLICK HERE) and receive the weekly E- News (CLICK HERE) and pray regularly for the programmes and people of the church. Join in the weekly pre-service 9:30am prayer meeting and watch out for and join in the prayer events which will be promoted from time to time. We need prayer warriors: individuals and on our prayer network. Commit to praying for our church and our neighbourhood. Let us know today if you want to be part of the church’s ministry of prayer.
Participation
As you read Valley Vision or the weekly E-News ask yourself how you can get involved? I wonder what’s your passion and gifting? There is always room for another to put up their hand and help out. Whether that’s welcoming or welfare; playgroups or prayer-groups; mentoring or maintenance! Don’t worry, we will make sure that you have the orientation and training to slot in at a level that fits best.
Financial Partnership
What are you hearing about stewardship? Each of us will be prompted to commit at a different level. What is yours? Are you aware of our electronic giving facility? There are projects we would love to initiate, if we had sponsors. Pray with us for our budget target to be met each year.
For our “40 years more” appeal, you can plan to contribute either:
- By giving a once-off gift, or
- You might decide to pledge an amount per month for the course of the year, or
- You might decide to creatively fund-raise. Maybe you might make and sell some items! Maybe some woodwork, or beanies or pot plants or tutoring or cup-cakes! You might e- bay some items you don’t need anymore— The sky’s the limit!
Ask yourself:
What am I, by faith, trusting God to provide through me this next year?
How can I send my donation?
- You can contribute by placing cash in an envelope labelled and placed in one of our auditorium letter-boxes
- You can use the EFTPOS machine at church
- You can Direct Debit to the church account and place “40years more” in the reference line
